Quality Cabinets for the Kitchen

Cabinets

Home of Kitchen’s cabinets are constructed from quality Australian-made moisture-resistant (MR) board. We only use the very best European cabinet hardware, including soft-close hinges and soft self-closing drawer slides.

Carcasses

All cabinet carcasses are manufactured from quality Australian-made 16mm MR board, including backs and tops, for use in wet areas.

Components are all computer cut and routered to ensure accuracy and consistency. All are pre-drilled and edged. No staples are used – every panel is screwed in place and every screw is capped where visible.

Standard cabinet sizes can be downloaded:

With no or little additional cost, standard sizes can be modified to suit the individual needs of your Melbourne kitchen renovation. Cabinet heights and shelving are fully adjustable.

Drawer units

Home of Kitchen only uses the highest quality imported European hardware in the manufacture process. Drawer units are made with high metal sided drawer slides and solid 16mm drawer bottoms. Standard drawer units have soft, self-closing mechanisms.

Drawers are generally made in a standard size but if you want a different sized drawer you can install internal drawers and vary the fronts to suit. Think about whether you need bigger capacity drawers, want to hide the runners, or want to purchase high-end solid sides, timber interiors or glass designer sides. Now think about how you open and close them: would you like push-to-open, soft-close or motorised drawers? The options are endless! We believe choice is everything.

There are many additional options to further enhance your kitchen such as pull-out pantries, wire baskets, pull-out waste bins, lazy Susans, cutlery inserts and more. For more information, visit our Accessories page.

Doors

Choose from a variety of materials and finishes for your kitchen design including:

Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF)

Square-edged MDF is available in flat panel or standard routered door. Doors can be painted with the colour of your choice. We suggest a two-pac finish, which consists of paint and hardener; the two are mixed together to form a strong, hard-wearing ‘two-pack’ solution. This is available in a range of gloss levels and provides a very stylish finish.

Melamine

Square-edged melamine is available in a vast range of colours and woodgrain finishes and edged in 1mm or 2mm polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

Vinyl

Vinyl or vacuumed formed doors are available in 21 designs, 18 colours and five finishes from textured to premium gloss.

Timber

Solid timber doors including Tasmanian Oak, Tasmanian Blackwood, Jarrah, American white oak and Radiata pine.

Glass

Aluminium-framed glass doors create highlights or display features in our custom kitchens across Melbourne. Choose from different profiles and colours and couple with glass shelves to create that point of difference.

Door finishes

Depending on your preference, doors can be finished in matt, sheen, satin, gloss or raw. Glass doors can be clear or frosted.

Door hinges and handles

All doors are installed with Hettich hinges in standard or soft close. Handles are available in different styles, colours, sizes and brands. Or you may wish to achieve a sleek, minimalist look with handleless cabinet doors.

We believe choice is everything!
